Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This policy explains what information ZonePass collects, how we use it, and your choices. ZonePass is operated by Ironvon Inc.
Information we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible. Depending on how you use the Service, this may include:
- Addresses and locations you enter. When you perform a zoning lookup, the address or location you type is processed to find the matching parcel and zoning information. An address may, on its own or combined with other information, be personal information.
- Technical and usage data. Like most websites, our servers and tools may automatically receive information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit. CONFIRM: list the analytics tool you use, if any (e.g. Google Analytics, Plausible, Cloudflare), or state that you do not use analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies. CONFIRM: state whether ZonePass sets cookies and for what purpose (e.g. none; essential only; analytics). Adjust this section to match.
We do not currently offer user accounts and do not collect account credentials. We do not process payments at this time, so we do not collect payment information. CONFIRM: if your PDF/report feature collects an email address or any other personal information, describe it here.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- provide the zoning-lookup service and return results for the address you enter;
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service;
- understand how the Service is used, in aggregate; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Geocoding and Google
To locate the address you enter, the Service sends your query to Google's Places and Maps services. Google processes that information in accordance with its own privacy policy and terms. We do not control Google's handling of this data. You can review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:
- with service providers who process information on our behalf to operate the Service (for example, hosting and the geocoding provider described above), under appropriate obligations;
- where required by law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; and
- to protect the rights, safety, and security of Ironvon Inc., our users, or the public.
Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. CONFIRM: state whether lookup addresses/queries are stored in logs and for how long, or that they are processed transiently and not retained.
Storage and international processing
Your information may be stored or processed in Canada and in other countries where our service providers operate, including the United States (for example, through Google's services). Those jurisdictions may have data-protection laws different from those in your province. CONFIRM: where your hosting provider stores data (region/country).
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect personal information against loss, theft, and unauthorized access or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Service is not directed to children and is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
